Following the purchase, ESPN announced plans for an “exploratory [over-the-top] project” based on its technology (ESPN+) to supplant its existing linear television services. On August 8, 2017, Disney invoked its option to acquire a controlling stake in BAMTech for $1.58 billion, increasing its stake to 75%.

Unfortunately, as it stands right now, there is no Disney Plus free trial available, but the low monthly cost makes it cheap to sign up and try it out. This function lets you set up remote watch parties where the movie is synced up between accounts so you and your friends can watch at the exact same time. Disney+ Premium also has the SharePlay option where you watch movies together with friends on FaceTime.
While the majority of films and series on Disney Plus are only available in HD, there are approximately 100-odd titles ready to stream in glorious 4K UHD . In order to stream this content, you’ll need a 4K Ultra HD or HDR device, TV, or display, as well as a high-speed internet connection of at least 25Mb. Luckily, there are tons of streaming devices that support 4K entertainment. This way you can charge your batteries and return to the park in the late afternoon and stay late into the evening. Just like the beginning of the day, the evening can be a great time to ride attractions. People are eating dinner, have gone back to the resort, or will be watching one of the nighttime shows which reduces wait times on the rides.
Disney+

By the time that you get to the second park, the wait times are bound to be very long for most of the attractions. With Disney Genie+ guests pay a flat fee per guest, per day, which gives you access to the majority of the attractions in a given park. Once guests have the service, they can book reservations for individual rides at various intervals throughout the day.
For us personally, we have our budget limits and we are much more comfortable buying Genie+ when it’s closer to $20 each. One positive thing that has been added is on-ride attraction photos which are now included in the Genie+ service. If you don’t feel like paying for it, Rise of the Resistance uses the standby queue, but that means waiting in line, sometimes as much as 3+ hours just to ride. Obviously, the most popular attractions in a given park are going to have the longest lines. So naturally, we want to use our limited number of ride reservations each day on the rides with the longest lines. In the Magic Kingdom, those are attractions like Peter Pan’s Flight, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, etc. Now it’s important to keep in mind that for some of those 5 or 6 Genie+ attractions you are able to book each day, you would have been able to ride anyway even without using Genie+.
